> Take off your taonga before participating in any sport, or activities that could knock, scratch or damage it or, cause injury to you.
> Remove before swimming in salt-water and chlorine pools.
> Bathe and apply any lotions or perfumes before you put
your jewellery on.
> Make sure chains and necklaces are fastened when storing
to avoid tangling.
> Remember which of your kahi has borrowed your taonga- so you can get it back ;)
